‘The Children of Mama and Papa Fields’
Thomas Jefferson Fields and Alta Barlow Hutchison Fields were known to family and friends as Mama and Papa Fields. Together they had ten children: Roy, Ruby, Sam, Winona, Dollie, Desmond, Thelma, Callie, Denver Lee, and Bill.
I put this book together for the younger generations that never had the opportunity to know Mama and Papa and/or their children. I added the children of those ten children, and their children, and theirs, and as far as I could go until the day the book was published. So many cousins that many didn’t know existed. I included many photographs which were given to me by those who were as interested as I was in getting this book done. It took me two years to put it all together and its over 300 pages.
Mama and Papa were my maternal grandparents. I spent many summers in Jay, Oklahoma visiting them and the rest of the family that lived close by. I have very fond memories of Mama and Papa.
I am very very proud of the finished product. I hope you enjoy it.
